Leaving A Legacy

Two weeks ago today was a normal Saturday morning.  I got up and was looking on Facebook.  I was shocked to find out that Pete McCreary, an amazing Man of GOD was tragically killed in a motorcycle accident the day before.

I did not have a personal contact relationship with Pete.  Yet I knew of him and all that he believed in.  At one time he was the Administrator for the Cincinnati Church of Christ.  He did some finance classes for the church to help others with their budget and finances.  He was most importantly a faithful disciple, a husband and a loving father to 3 daughters and 1 son.

He had a passion for HOPE Youth Corp and serving in countries that had struggles.  He shared that passion with his children.  They served the poor as a family.

Just a few months ago he walked one of his daughters down the aisle.  My heart aches for his children.  To imagine that his life was taken so tragically and suddenly.  But they have his memories and his legacy.

His legacy will continue even though his life on earth is over.  He has touched so many people with his passion and love.  That is so inspiring to know that his legacy will live on in other people and especially his wife and children.

If you want to help Peter’s Legacy live on here is a link to a memorial fund. https://hopeww.kindful.com/mccrearymemorial

So this got me thinking.  What is my legacy?  What have I done in my life that I want to continue?  What will I be remembered for?  These are some great questions.  I now have to live to answer them.

To GOD Be The GLORY

Take Care.  Much Love.
